Moving Plants and Other Animisms

In the age of the Capitalocene, biological life is understood as “impure”, altered by human presence on the planet. When dead, plants and animals are transformed into debris, after being violently extracted form their habitat. They become a resource, an object, a commodity. Within this frame of thought, I have physically re-animated multiple remains of plants and animals, in order to show how certain things can be both alive and dead, simultaneously “natural” and “artificial”.
