Other Lives shows the life underlying certain “living” systems: partly natural, partly artificial, such systems invisibly enable the existence of the human sphere. As part of an expanded inquiry on the boundaries of life, these systems are exposed through their materiality.
A series of mechanisms join and separate the ends of a live wire which configures an electrical circuit. As a result, fluorescent tubes are turned on and off. This system renders visible an otherwise invisible flow of electricity. Its power fluctuations allow the installation to constantly die and come back to life.
